Refund Policy – Health Advance Massage
1. Overview
At Health Advance Massage, we are committed to providing high-quality massage and wellness services. This Refund Policy outlines your rights and our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and Victorian legislation.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the ACL.
2. Consumer Guarantees (Your Legal Rights)
Under Australian Consumer Law, our services must:
Be provided with due care and skill
Be fit for purpose
Be delivered within a reasonable time
If a service fails to meet these guarantees:
You may be entitled to a refund, partial refund, or re-service, depending on the issue
For major failures, you may cancel and receive a refund for unused services
A major failure includes situations where:
The service is unsafe
The service is significantly different from what was agreed
The service cannot achieve its intended result
3. Change of Mind
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, including:
Deciding not to attend an appointment
Booking the wrong service
No longer wanting the service
This is in line with Australian Consumer Law, which does not require refunds for change-of-mind purchases
4. Appointment Cancellations & Rescheduling
To respect our therapists’ time and other clients:
24+ hours notice:
Full reschedule or credit available
Less than 24 hours notice:
May result in a cancellation fee or forfeiture of deposit
No-show appointments:
Full service fee may be charged
These terms are permitted as long as they are clearly disclosed before booking.
5. Online Bookings & Prepaid Services
For bookings made online:
Payments are processed securely at the time of booking
By completing payment, you agree to this Refund Policy
Refunds for prepaid services:
Will only be provided where required under ACL (e.g., major service failure)
Otherwise, may be issued as a credit or rescheduled appointment at our discretion
6. Partial Refunds
Where a service has been partially delivered:
Any refund will be adjusted to reflect the portion of the service already provided
7. Gift Cards & Packages
Non-refundable for cash (unless required by law)
Transferable at our discretion
Must be used within stated validity period
8. Late Arrivals
Late arrival may result in reduced treatment time
Full fee may still apply to avoid disruption to other clients
9. How Refunds Are Processed
Where a refund is approved:
It will be processed via the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed
Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider
10. Our Obligations
We will never:
Refuse refunds where legally required
Use misleading terms like “no refunds”
Override your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Such practices are unlawful in Victoria
